If I call out some simple phrases like tidy, energetic, not easily driven crazy, humorous, reliable and also solution-oriented you already get a pretty good picture of me. Besides, my hair always looks good. ; -)

Writing is literally what I had in mind when I started this blog. As a hearing-impaired person with Philips earrings, communication has really become very important. For me. Through written channels, that is where I really come into my own.

So who am I?

I am Irene – born 1967 – and a passionate writer since 2002. I write essays, columns and articles. I have already written a chicklit, work in ICT and, well, am usually reconditioned at home by my feline friends or other critters.

This site shows my stride and journey in the world in the written word. And also, what it’s like to become a little bit better human being (ahem) all the time.

Years ago I was, among other things, editor-in-chief of the now defunct about:blank.nl and also editor-in-chief of 42bis.nl.
